Third Stage was released in 1986 and marked Boston’s return after an eight-year hiatus. The album was largely created by Tom Scholz, who spent several years perfecting its sound in his home studio. It features Brad Delp’s soaring vocals and the band’s trademark multi-layered guitar harmonies.
